General Application Conditions
General area of application under normal conditions of use.
| Motion | MR | BM |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum speed | 3 m/s | 5 m/s |
| Maximum acceleration | 50 m/s² | 100 m/s² |
Higher values are permissible, but depend on the carriage type, lubrication condition, preload and load.
Environment
| Operating temperature range | -40 °C to +80 °C (MONORAIL rails / carriages) |
|---|---|
| Transport temperature | -20 °C to +70 °C (AMS measuring systems) |
| Storage conditions | 0 °C to +40 °C (free of chemical gases, vapours or liquids) |
| Humidity | Below 75% (condensation, corrosion and dew formation must be prevented) |
Storage Recommendations
Storage in packaging that meets the original conditions is recommended. High humidity and extreme temperature changes must be avoided. Otherwise there is a risk of condensation, which may lead to corrosion and oil separation from the grease.
Materials
| Component | Material | Treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Rail | Ball bearing steel | Hardened raceway surface |
| Carriage | Ball bearing steel | Fully hardened |
| Rolling elements | Ball bearing steel | Fully hardened |
| Synthetic components | POM, PAPA, TPU | Injection moulded |
Safety Instructions
Safety Guidance
If the carriage is overloaded, insufficiently lubricated or improperly maintained, the carriage may detach from the rail. Appropriate design and technical safety measures must be taken by the user to prevent any risk of the carriage separating from the rail due to loss of rolling elements.
Possible safety measures include, for example, installing safety clamps around the rail. Regulations of professional associations, relevant guidelines and application-related standards must be observed.
